CPDR EVENTS 2016

Our Youth our Future: Creating Socio-economic and Political Spaces for Young People

 Dear Participant,

A sustained and constructive dialogue is essential between the political leadership at various positions in the Government, and young people to create a facilitating environment, conducive to informed policy-making.

To engage young people in a structured dialogue Centre for Peace, Development and Reforms (CPDR) has been providing platform to youth in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, aimed to build their capacity and develop a wider understanding regarding the key socioeconomic and political issues of the region.

In the past, we have been inviting leadership from both Government as well as the opposition, and other stakeholders to interact with young people in areas like education, governance, socio-economic empowerment and political development. A wide range of youth from diverse segments of society was, thus, given an opportunity to speak to its leadership, sharing their ideas and aspirations for a better future.

Building further on these grounds, CPDR in-collaboration with the British Council is organising First Youth Policy dialogue titled
“Our Youth Our Future: Creating Socio-economic and Political Spaces for Yong People” on 27th Dec 2016 from 01:00 p.m. to 04:30 p.m. at Sangam Hotel, Muzaffarabad.

It will be an opportunity for young people to interact with their elected leadership and generate debate on the issues close to their hearts. A diverse group of young people from a cross section of civil society is invited to share their thoughts on the subject with the Prime Minister Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan.

We are looking forward for your participation in the event.
